Emma Barton net worth: Strictly Come Dancing 2019 star set to make THIS much

Emma Barton is an English TV and theatre actress, who is best known for her role as Honey Mitchell in BBC One’s EastEnders. She joined Walford square in 2005 until 2008, before making a return to the soap in 2014 for a small stint and permanently in 2015. Today, she was announced as the third contestant for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. The 40-year-old sat down with the The One Show hosts Stacey Dooley and Matt Baker as they revealed she’d be appearing on the BBC One Dance show. They also announced that retired footballer David James and comedian Chris Ramsey would be joining the actress in taking on the glitter ball.

So what is Emma’s current net worth?

It’s not clear what Emma earns exactly, but according to Celebstrendnow.com, the 40-year-old has a net worth of between $100,000 and a $1million, which works out to just under £800,000.

Most EastEnders regulars are paid a salary of between £150,000 to £199,999.

Some of these stars include Laurie Brett, who plays Jane Beale, Letitia Dean (Sharon Mitchell), Tameka Empson (Kim Fox), Linda Henry (Shirley Carter), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), Gillian Taylforth (Kathy Beale) and Lacey Turner (Stacey Fowler).

So it’s likely Emma could be on the same.

Emma has accumulated her wealth from her TV career and theatre roles.

Before her role in EastEnders, she appeared in Spooks and on stage in plays including Grease, Loveshack and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

In November 2008, following her exit from EastEnders, Emma sang live for Children in Need in the BBC studios in London.

She then starred in the title role of Snow White in the Marlowe Theatre’s Canterbury pantomime from December until January 2009 alongside Stephen Mulhern.

From March to November 2009, she toured the UK in the stage production of Chicago, alongside Jimmy Osmond and Twinnie Lee Moore, playing Roxie Hart.

How much will she earn from Strictly?

According to The Sun, contestants are paid a standard £25,000 for signing up to the show.

This fee is said to jump up to £60,000 if contestants make it past the quarter-finals.

If they get all the way to the finals, the lucky winner is said to be paid £100,000 on top.

Judging by 2018 winner Stacey Dooley’s comments, it sounds like Emma could have a good chance.

As Emma appeared on the show, she confessed that she was feeling a little nervous, saying: “I can’t speak!”

She went on to talk about her apprehensions for the show, as she explained how she is a huge fan.

She continued: “I am the biggest fan – it’s weird. Now I’m thinking: Is it the right thing? I can’t sit at home and watch it now!”

But Stacey was eager to quell her fears, as she said: “Do you know who was a bit like that last year though? Faye Tozer.”

Stacey even alluded to Emma going on to do well in the competition, as she added: “She was a huge fan she watched it for years and years. And she did really really well.”

Faye famously did extremely well in last year’s edition of Strictly, and was one of the favourites to win for weeks before the final. Ultimately, Faye was joint runner-up with Joe Sugg and Ashley Roberts.
