Williamson and Barrett built up a strong bond during their time in Duke last season.
But not only that, they are two of the best talents to enter the NBA in some year and that showed in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Williamson, as expected, went No 1 to the New Orleans Pelicans.
And Barrett quickly followed as the New York Knicks selected him with the third pick.
New York fans were clearly packed out in the Brooklyn Center as they broke out into cheers as Barrett was announced as their choice.
But cameras also spotted Williamson standing with a huge smile on his face for his former team-mate, waiting to congratulate him personally.
“I’m happy for him,” he shouted.
“That’s my brother! He’s ready!”
