High Fidelity Hulu release date, cast, trailer, plot: When is the new series out?

High Fidelity is the brand new series coming to Hulu  hopefully in the late half of 2019. The dramedy is a reimagining of the 2000 film of the same name which starred Jack Black and John Cusack. The film and series are based on the 1995 novel of the same name by Nick Hornby. The web series will be told from a female point of view.

When is High Fidelity out on Hulu?

Unfortunately, there is no release date for High Fidelity on Hulu yet.

The series is in the early stages of production, with Hulu not revealing very many details about the new series.

All that Hulu has confirmed so far is that there will be 10 episodes in the new series.

The series was originally supposed to air on Disney+ but after Disney acquired Fox’s assets, including a 60 percent stake in Hulu, the series moved to the streaming service.

Production company Midnight Radio who are behind the show said in a statement: “The entire High Fidelity team is absolutely ecstatic about our move to Hulu and incredibly grateful to ABC Signature and Disney+ for being so supportive of the transition.

“Once Zoë [Kravitz] came onboard and the show began to evolve, it quickly became clear we may be best suited for a different home.

“Everyone involved locked arms to help make this shift to Hulu, which is the perfect platform to reinvent this beloved timeless property.”

Beatrice Springboard, Vice President of content development at Hulu said: “Hulu is home to stories that tap into pop culture and redefine genres, so we jumped at the opportunity to bring a seminal work like High Fidelity into the fold as a Hulu Original.

“We are over the moon to work with Zoë, Veronica [West], and Sarah [Kucserka] to bring viewers this fresh take on an enduring story that has resonated with millions of people over the past two decades.”

Unfortunately, Hulu is only accessible to customers in the US.

Who stars in High Fidelity on Hulu?

Jake Lacy stars in High Fidelity on Hulu as Clyde who is new to New York from Los Angeles.

Lacy is best known for playing Nick Beverly I’m Dying Up Here and as Pete Miller in the final season of The US Office.

Zoë Kravitz plays Rob, a huge music fan and record store owner.

Kravitz is best known for starring in HBO’s Big Little Lies as Bonnie Carlson.

Other notable acting credits include The Divergent Series, Mad Max: Fury Road and Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them.

Kravitz is also the daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet.

Her stepfather is Game of Thrones and Aquaman star Jason Momoa.
