The movie, the conclusion to the Star Wars Skywalker saga, is out in cinemas in December.
It is set to begin after a slight time jump following the events of 2017’s The Last Jedi, and completes the trilogy that began with 2015’s The Force Awakens.
It’s been claimed in a new leak that, after striking up quite a bond in The Last Jedi, romance is now on the cards between Finn and Rose.
Making Star Wars allege that a love story is blossoming between them – although the specifics are unclear.
This is all completely unconfirmed by Lucasfilm or the stars at this point, so it’s best to treat it as such for the time being.
But it is noted by MSW that questions about a Finn and Rose romance went unanswered at Star Wars Celebration last week.
The pair shared a kiss in The Last Jedi, and their connection was seemingly clocked by Rey in the film’s closing moments.
Fans, meanwhile, have been just as keen for Finn to strike up a romance with Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), although it seems that this will remain a close friendship.
It’s been a big month for Star Wars news, after the first teaser trailer for Episode 9 was unveiled at SWC.
With that came the reveal of its long-awaited title: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Fans also now know that Ian McDiarmid’s somewhat iconic Emperor Palpatine is also set to appear in some capacity, despite appearing to be killed off in Return of the Jedi.
But McDiarmid did reveal that the laugh heard in the trailer was not lifted from new material.
“That particular laugh was not specially recorded,” he said, according to CinemaBlend.
“They found it somewhere, probably from one of the old movies or in a digital vault, or maybe George’s iPhone, I don’t know.”
It’s since been alleged that Han Solo is also back thanks to a new scene from Harrison Ford, although this remains speculation.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is out on December 19 in the UK.
