Hirving Lozano ASKS Javier Hernandez about Man Utd as Alexis Sanchez replacement chosen

United have regularly been linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven star Lozano, with the 23-year-old regularly impressing in Eredivisie.

Lozano has bagged 15 league goals this season and the director of his former club Pachuca recently backed the Mexican to seal a move.

And now TEAMtalk report that Lozano has spoken to former Manchester United star and compatriot Hernandez about playing for the club.

It’s claimed that United believe Lozano would be a perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez, with the Red Devils keen to move the former Arsenal ace out of Old Trafford.

Lozano is believed to have a release clause of just over £30million – a fee that United would be likely to receive for any sale of Sanchez.

A source told TEAMtalk: “Hirving wants to join United, joining them is as big as a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona to him – he has spoken to Chicarito about what its like to play in Manchester, and Javier could not be kinder about his former club and told Hirving to push hard.”

The forward has already proved he can compete against Premier League sides, scoring in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham in the Champions League earlier this season.

And after the reverse fixture, which saw Tottenham win 2-1, Lozano revealed he wants to play in the Premier League one day.

“I hope that God, some day, gives me a shot at playing in the Premier League,” he said.

“I like it very much. I think the Premier League is great.

“I think that it would be fabulous to play with any of the clubs, but I would love to play for one of the big clubs. I hope that God gives me the chance.”

Manchester United are keen to strengthen this summer with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having been handed the job on a full-time basis.

And Lozano could be one addition with Pachuca president Jesus Martinez backing a move.

“What I can say and guarantee is that Hirving has had a Manchester United scout watching him since he was 16,” Martinez said.

“They have his whole record. They have everything: videos, goals, behaviour, qualifications.

“They are one of the clubs with the best scouts and professionals in that area.

“My ultimate dream would be to see ‘Chucky’ at United and Hector at Atletico. It would be my dream and theirs.”
