Chris Evans rose to fame for his portrayal of the perfect superhero, Captain America. He first burst onto our screens in 2011 as Steve Rogers, a scrawny, unhealthy man who is rejected to serve in the military during World War Two. After undergoing experimental treatment, Rogers is transformed into Captain America and the Avenger we all know and love today was born.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Evans discussed not only his role as Captain America but also his personal life.
Given his heartthrob status, undeniable good looks, and even better personality many are surprised to hear the actor is unattached.
When it comes to relationships, Evans said: “I’m the one who fears being enveloped. I was always a really autonomous guy my whole life.
“Camping by myself is one of my favourite things. I really like to be with someone who also has their own thing to do as well, you know?

“If I’m with someone who just kind of adopts my life, that can feel a bit suffocating.”
The actor previously dated comedian Jenny Slate in an on-again-off-again capacity and Evans was also in a relationship with Jessica Biel many years ago.
For The Hollywood Reporter interview, Alex Pappademas wrote: “He keeps it closer to the vest about other people.
“He mentions in passing that Justin Timberlake lives around here — ‘I think’ — without mentioning that Timberlake lives around here with his wife, Jessica Biel, who was once Evans’ girlfriend.”

The reticence to talk about his personal life does not extend to politics, however, where Evans is far more vocal.
He has a prominent social media presence, campaigned for Hillary in 2016, and often goes to Washington DC to engage in bipartisan photo-ops.
Evans is currently forming the company A Starting Point, a politics website whose mission is “to create informed, responsible and empathetic citizens” with actor Mark Kassen and entrepreneur Joe Kiani.
As for Evans’ future with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many fans believe Avengers: Endgame will be his final outing as Cap.

The actor has played Captain America in nine movies, including the upcoming Endgame.
But like many of his generation of Avengers, Evans’ contract is reportedly finished with Avengers: Endgame.
Evans will star alongside Daniel Craig in Rian Johnson’s murder mystery Knives Out, currently in post-production.
Avengers: Endgame is out in cinemas on April 25, 2019.
