The Archers spoilers: Freddie Pargetter drops devastating bombshell to Elizabeth

The Archers fans haven’t seen Freddie Pargetter (played by Toby Laurence) in a couple of months.

He was locked up behind bars in August last year when he was caught drug dealing.

Since then, his mother, Elizabeth Pargetter (Elizabeth Pargetter) has spiralled into depression but thankfully found some comfort of late.

In the coming week, Freddie gets out of prison and heads back to Ambridge to see his family.

Elizabeth is overjoyed to have her family back together, especially now Lily Pargetter (Katie Redford) has decided to defer her university course.

However, Freddie has become too accustomed to his life behind bars and is struggling to adapt to freedom.

He knows going back to prison would be the worst mistake of his life so he endeavours to change his life.

But Freddie does something incredibly stupid and it leaves his family fuming.

Elizabeth is distraught by the news which is said to have a consequence for the Pargetter family.

Will Freddie be on his way back to prison?

Elsewhere in the BBC Radio 4 village, Jill Archer decides to host her family at Brookfield.

But inquisitive Lily and Ben Archer (Ben Norris) take turns asking tricky questions.

Tensions immediately become fraught, but will all be well at the farm?

Earlier in the week, Natasha Archer (Mali Harries) and Tom concocted a plan for Bridge Farm.

They have been working on a new development for a fruit and vegetable ordering app.

Natasha set about explaining what was going on to Pat Archer (Patricia Gallimore) and Tony Archer (David Troughton).

The project is funded by the pair, including a credit scheme which seems has seen them loan an enormous amount of money.

However, listeners have seen it as a huge risk and flocked to Twitter to comment on what they think will happen in the coming weeks.

One wrote: “Nothing wrong with living on credit – now those are words to live your life by. As long as you don’t mind losing your house, your business, your possessions etc.”

The Archers airs weekdays on BBC Radio 4 at 7pm and catch-up can be found on the BBC Sounds website.
