England ‘will get smashed’ if they try one tactic in Six Nations clash vs Wales – pundit

England are in action against Wales in the third round of the Six Nations games.

England and Wales are virtually in competition for winner takes all after both winning their opening two games.

And England started the contest in Cardiff well – as the game started at an electric pace.

But Wales legend had a warning for Eddie Jones’s side.

“England’s line speed is fantastic, the rush from the base of the scrum is not on because they will get smashed,” he said on BBC One.

“It’s such an intense Test encounter, nothing is happening.”

Owen Farrell put England three up early on with a penalty before Tom Curry extended the lead to 3-8 with the first try of the game.

Farrell converted to make it 3-10 after just 27 minutes.

Wales were criticised for letting Curry in to score the first try of the game but former England scrum half Matt Dawson.

“What a beautiful bit of play by England,” he said on BBC 5 Live.

“They pounced on the ball after one lapse of concentration by Wales.

“Courtney Lawes slapped the ball back and then they were away. Wales will be furious with themselves for dishing it up.’

England beat Ireland and France in their opening two matches and are on course for the Grand Slam if they win today.

Victory in Cardiff ahead of matches with Italy and Scotland would put them on course to regain the Six Nations crown and with a great chance of the Grand Slam.
