Avengers Endgame: Did Brie Larson just hint that CAPTAIN MARVEL will save dead heroes?

Brie Larson will be seen making her Marvel debut as Carol Danvers when Captain Marvel hits cinemas in early March – and she’ll then be seen making some form of impact in Avengers: Endgame just weeks later. Her arrival was signalled in the post-credits scene of last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, in which Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury used a mysterious pager to send a message to Danvers. So how will she be weaved into the plot of Endgame?

The details are, of course, still a total mystery.

But as fans continue to speculate on how all the dead heroes from Infinity War can return (as they must, in some capacity – given the well-known plans for future movies), Larson may have hinted that Captain Marvel plays a pivotal role.

Speaking to Total Film, she may have implied that it’s Carol who helps things get “better”.

“I’m coming up. They’ve pager-ed me,” she said coyly.

“So maybe it’s going better.”

Jackson also confirmed that she is able to time travel – which would tie in neatly with various fan theories.

“I guess we might figure out that she can do things that nobody else can do,” he told the same magazine.

“She can time travel so maybe she can get ahead or behind or whatever, and figure out what all that is.

“The fact I have the pager 20 years later – it gets addressed in an interesting sort of way.”

Captain Marvel is set in the 1990s, decades before the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

But it should address why Carol is not seen or heard of in any of the last decade’s worth of MCU movies.

Captain Marvel is out on March 8. Avengers: Endgame follows on April 25.
