Avengers Endgame: Will 3 HOUR epic have an interval? Russo Brothers SPEAK OUT

Editing is still underway on Avengers Endgame, which will definitely be longer than the two hour and forty minute run time of Avengers Infinity War. And with Endgame’s current cut still at three hours in length, there’s a rumour an interval could occur. Coming Soon tweeted: “Rumour has it Marvel is considering an intermission for AVENGERS ENDGAME as it is currently clocking at three hours. Bring it on. I love intermissions. Makes the movies that have them feel very epic. Besides, a pee break would be nice.”

Certainly intervals (or intermissions as US fans would say) are few and far between these days.

Back in the golden age of Hollywood, it wouldn’t be unusual to have a break half way through a mega movie like Lawrence of Arabia or Gone With The Wind.

One of the most recent examples of a cinematic interval was during Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, which saw its 70mm version clock in at three hours and seven minutes.

However The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was three hours and twenty minutes and didn’t have an interval.

Joe said: “We’re still at the three-hour mark. I think the studio is down with what the best story is.

“Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is.

“We’re still doing work to it. We’re not done with it.

Avengers Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on April 25, 2019.
