Galaxy Note 9 deal offers a £300 saving but there's not long left to grab this discount

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is one of the biggest and best smartphones you can buy right now.

This latest flagship was given a giant overhaul last August and now comes packed with a faster processor, better camera and improved S Pen when can even be used as a mini remote control.

With a huge edge-to-edge screen and even a headphone port, there’s very little wrong with the Note 9.

However, with a starting price of £899 it is very expensive and this high cost could certainly be a deciding factor in whether to take the plunge and purchase one.

Luckily, there is an easy way to reduce the cost of the Note 9 and make it a much more affordable option.

If you currently own a relatively new smartphone, Samsung will allow you to trade it in and get money off the Note 9.

In fact, there’s the option of getting a huge £300 discount when you hand over devices including the Galaxy Note 8 or iPhone 8.

Even if you own a much older device such as the iPhone 7 you can still get £200 off the new Note.

Although this deal is available right now it seems that Samsung won’t be running this offer indefinitely.

In fact, the Korean technology firm has said that this current discount will come to an end on January 31.

If you want to take Samsung up on this offer then there are some things to know.

Samsung says that your existing handset must be owned by you and it must match the make and model from your order form and it must also meet a functionality criteria.

This includes powering up and holding its battery charge.

It should have no software or hardware faults and only have normal wear and tear – Samsung won’t pay full price for your phone if it’s badly damaged or the screen is cracked.

Finally, it must not be “jail-broken” or “Knox warranty void” and the firmware must not have been altered.

It’s worth noting that whilst this is a great deal, Samsung is about to launch a new device next month.

The Galaxy S10 is expected to be revealed to the world at a major Unpacked event in London on February 20.

There’s official confirmation on what will be included but rumours are suggesting this phone will get a new look, more cameras and a much faster processor.

Express.co.uk will be at the launch of the Galaxy S10 and will bring you all the news live as it happens.
