And while that could still potentially happen later on, today at least fans will be getting an Indie Highlights presentation.

This looks to be similar to the previous Nindies Showcases, which focused on indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The last Nindies Showcase saw reveals for big games such as Undertale and Into The Breach.

And it seems likely there will be some surprise new indie games reveals for the Switch which may get a virtually immediate release date.

Fans are hoping that A Hat In Time could finally get a release date during the upcoming Indie Highlights presentation.

And it’s also hoped that Wargroove – the latest game from Stardew Valley publishers Chucklefish – could get a release date announced today.

The official Nintendo UK Twitter announced yesterday that the Indie Highlights presentation would be taking place today (January 23).

They tweeted: “Tomorrow at 14:00 (UK time), watch a new #IndieHighlights video showcasing some of the indie games arriving on #NintendoSwitch in 2019!”

The Indie Highlights presentation will go live at 2pm UK time today. Click here to be directed to the official Indie Highlights website.

Describing what’s in store for fans, the page says: “Uncover top-quality experiences from independent developers with Indie Highlights!

“Covering a wide range of genres, Indie Highlights represent some of the best titles available from independent developers.”

The Indie Highlights presentation will be viewable on the official Nintendo UK YouTube page.

Head to this page at 2pm UK time to watch the big Nintendo Switch games reveal.

Soon after the Indie Highlights presentation was revealed fans took to Twitter to reveal their hopes and dreams for the big broadcast.

One of the top picks from fans so far is a release date getting announced finally for A Hat In Time.

A Hat In Time is out right now on PS4, Xbox One and PCs – with a Switch release confirmed but no launch date pencilled in yet.

A support page on the A Hat In Time website was updated today not long after the Indie Highlights broadcast was announced by Nintendo.

Could A Hat In Time get a surprise release date for today soon after the Indie Highlights presentation finishes?

While it’s also hoped that Wargroove – the upcoming Advance Wars style game from Chuckeflish – could get a release date reveal.
