Horse racing tips TODAY: Horses you MUST back at Ayr, Hereford and Newcastle

The Andrew Balding-trained filly is on a great run with form figures of 1-1-1-2-1-2 in her last six outings.

Currently on a four-timer after wins at Chelmsford (twice) and York, Crossing The Line seems all set for more success in 2019.

She has climbed 13lb for those three wins, but looks all set to shrug off the extra burden in the hands of David Probert, who has been in the plate for three of her victories.

Half an hour earlier on the card, MILITARY LAW (nb, 2.50) can gun down the opposition. John Gosden’s runner, who will be partnered by Robert Havlin, cost almost £1million and returned from more than a year off when a one-length runner-up to Mainsail Atlantic at Lingfield last month.

He was noticeably week in the betting – drifting from 1-2 to 11-8  – and is sure to strip much fitter with that run under his belt.

Staying at Wolverhampton, TONI’S A STAR, who ended 2018 with two course wins over five furlongs, goes over a furlong further for the first time since June.

Although she has never won over six furlongs, she was strong at the finish one her last two visits here and there is no reason why she can’t score over this longer trip for the first time.
