NORAD Santa Tracker is one of the world’s favourite tools for following the progress of Father Christmas.
Every year NORAD (North American Aerospace Defence Command) allow their technologically-advanced satellites to track Santa after he has filled his sack to the brim with presents and begins to deliver them.
The tradition of NORAD tracking Father Christmas started decades ago after a local shop printed an advert that provided a number that could be used to reach the tubby toymaker.

NORAD explained: “Director of Operations, Colonel Harry Shoup, received the first ‘Santa’ call and had his staff check radar data to see if there was any indication of Santa making his way south from the North Pole.
