The 59-year-old allegedly assaulted the son of the former US news anchor Heather Unruh. Ms Unruh first made the allegation during a press conference in November 2017. Spacey is due to appear in Nantucket District Court on January 7 with the charge of indecent assault and battery. Ms Unruh said the House of Cards actor bought her son “drink after drink” at a restaurant in Massachusetts before allegedly sticking his hand down the 18-year-old’s pants and grabbing his genitals.
At the same time of the report of the charge, Spacey posted a video on his Twitter account as his character of Frank Underwood from House of Cards.
In the bizarre clip, he said: “I know what you want, and sure, they may have tried to separate us but what we have is too strong, is too powerful. I mean after all, we shared everything, you and I.
“I told you my deepest, darkest secrets. I showed you exactly what people are capable of. I shocked you with my honesty, but mostly I challenged you and made you think.”
It is not clear if the actor is referring to the charge he faces in the three-minute video, his character Frank Underwood was killed off in the Netflix show following sexual misconduct allegations.

Scotland Yard has six open sexual assault investigations into Spacey, alleged to have taken place in London and Gloucester.
The allegations against Spacey began in October when the actor Anthony Rapp claimed he made an unwanted sexual advance on him when he was just 14.
In November 2017, following sexual assault claims made against Spacey, Netflix cut ties with the actor.
However, there will still be some mentions of his character Frank Underwood in the series.
Frank Underwood is now dead in the show and his wife Claire Underwood is the President of the United States.
His death was revealed in a teaser trailer for season six which shows Claire standing over his grave.
