Former Countdown host Carol Vorderman, 57, appeared on ITV show Loose Women on Friday and was quizzed about her love life by the panelists. Carol McGiffin, 58, said to her: “You never have one boyfriend, you always have loads.” Seeming surprised by her remark, Carol agreed, replying: “I like to have a few.” Carol went on to discuss a recent first date, telling the panelists: “I haven’t got a new man but I had the best ever… possibly the first best date ever.”
Quizzing Carol further, Nadia Sawalha, 54, asked: “Why what happened? What did you do?”
Carol replied: “We didn’t do that [sleep together].”
Nadia responded: “Oh no, that wouldn’t be the best date.”
Carol chimed: “I was going to say it before you asked me.”

Jane Moore then asked: “So how did it come about?”
Carol replied: “I’m not telling you thing because there may be no second date.”
But the former maths whizz soon gave in and spilled further details.
She added: “It was slightly surreal and he’s an amazing person and that’s all I’m telling you. And he’s not British and he’s not famous.”
Jane then asked: “Does he live here?” to which Carol simply answered: “No.”
Back in September, Carol revealed she was dating and going to parties twice a week.
She told the Daily Mail: “I have lots of male friends and they’ll often introduce me to one of their friends and things go from there.
She added: “I am a big party person. I go to about two a week.
“OK, I might be knackered the next morning, but so what? Life’s too short.”
But despite enjoying dating, twice-married Carol said she doesn’t see a third marriage in her future and isn’t looking for a “keeper”.
She said: “I’m single and, yes, I am dating. Would I marry again? Honestly, I just can’t see it.”
Carol first tied the knot with Christopher Mather in 1985, before they separated a year later.
In 1990, Carol married Patrick King, splitting up 10 years later.
