19: The game is taking shape now and Spurs are dominating. Arsenal are camped deep inside their own half – just looking to weather the early storm.
17: Spurs playing some intricate stuff in front of the makeshift Arsenal defence but haven’t managed to test Petr Cech. Christian Eriksen decides to bin off the tippy-tappey stuff and leather one from distance… It didn’t go well.

14: Ridiculously lively start here folks. So good in fact that I’ve completely ignored the darts on my other screen!
11: Would you believe it? Henrikh Mkhitaryan plays a neat one-two with Aaron Ramsey and strides through on goal. He’s only got Gazzaniga to beat but tamely strikes straight at Tottenham’s goalkeeper. So wasteful.
Moments before that Dele Alli wasted a decent opportunity when found lurking in the Arsenal penalty area. He couldn’t keep his header down.
8: Wooosh! Aaron Ramsey isn’t wasting any time. He exchanges a couple of passes with Alex Iwobi before cutting inside and lashing one just wide of the post. Really can’t understand why you wouldn’t offer the Welshman a new contract – doubt you’ll find too much better in his price range.

5: Arsenal pressing high in these early stages with Spurs being forced into one or two mistakes in midfield areas. Quite brave to play such a high line with a makeshift defence and the pace of Son leading the line.
3: Well it took around 55 seconds for the drama to arrive as Harry Winks slides to ground and uses his arm to block Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s cross. VAR isn’t used and the corner is given.
The corner is then whipped in an Nacho Monreal goes down under pressure from Kieran Trippier – but there’s not nearly enough contact to award a spot-kick.

19:35: Unai Emery believes Mauricio Pochettino is “very happy” at Tottenham and has questioned the notion of the Argentine leaving north London to take over at Manchester United
“I think he’s (Pochettino) very happy at Tottenham,” Emery said. “I think he’s coaching a very big team with very big players and now they are in the Champions League, they are also in a better position in the Premier League than Manchester United.
“I don’t know if he’s thinking to change for another club, but I am looking at him with a very big commitment to Tottenham and he’s creating a good performance a good idea at Tottenham.”

19:25: Well I can’t ignore the elephant in the room all night.
What do we all think about the prospect of Mauricio Pochettino jumping ship to fill Jose Mourinho’s shoes at Old Trafford?
Pochettino is understood to be at the top of United’s wish list to replace Jose – and the Argentine admitted he could not predict what might happen in the summer.
“What is going to happen in the summer? What is going to happen tomorrow? No one knows. The most important is to enjoy the journey. I’m so happy here,” he said. “What is going to happen is not in our hands, I mean the decision in another club, we don’t know.”

19:20: The recent Premier League meeting had several flashpoints, with Emery speaking on the eve of this clash calling for the passion to remain but for respect to exist between the two clubs.
Eric Dier equalised for the visitors at the Emirates Stadium before his finger-to-lips celebration sparked a fracas between the two sets of players.
There were also several arrests made amongst the supporters with a Tottenham fan handed a four-year football ban and a £500 fine for throwing a banana skin towards Aubameyang as he celebrated his opening goal in front of the away fans.

Silverware for Pochettino?
19:05: The Carabao Cup is Emery’s first chance to lift a trophy in English football – whereas Pochettino is also waiting for his first silverware as a coach.
That will add every more intrigue into Wednesday night’s encounter, with a place in the semi-finals keeping trophy ambitions alive until the new year.
Pochettino has often written off the Carabao Cup as he aims for success in higher-regarded competitions but there has to be a time when he needs to get his hands on a trophy.
Rapid revenge mission
19:00: Arsenal came out on top when the rivals met at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League earlier this month.
A Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace was added to by efforts from Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torriera as Emery secured a 4-2 win over close friend Pochettino.
Tottenham’s opportunity to respond comes just 17 days later with both teams no doubt keen to move into the final four of the competition.

18:50: Mesut Ozil has been left out AGAIN for Arsenal’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with north London rivals Tottenham.
The German was a substitute in Sunday’s 3-2 loss at Southampton but does not feature against Spurs as the Gunners contend with a host of defensive injuries.
It’s said the reason is purely tactical and not an injury.
Harry Kane was on the bench for Spurs as he battled with a cold, in what was an otherwise strong team, with the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min all starting.

Backache for Emery
18:43: The Gunners saw a 22-match unbeaten run come to an end with a 3-2 defeat at Southampton on Sunday.
Emery had only one fit recognised centre-back in Laurent Koscielny – himself only just back from a seven-month injury lay-off.
Some of those defensive issues will be eased as Sokratis Papastathopoulos is back from suspension but Rob Holding, Shkodran Mustafi and Konstantinos Mavropanos are all missing – with full-backs Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac also unavailable.
Southampton took advantage of a makeshift back-three and no doubt Tottenham’s attackers will also be licking their lips at the prospect.

And what a double bill to look forward to.
Arsenal and Tottenham meet in the second north London derby of the season, while Chelsea welcome Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has a number of selection headaches ahead of Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup quarter-final at home to rivals Tottenham.
Full-backs Hector Bellerin (calf) and Sead Kolasinac (thigh) will not be risked, while centre-back duo Rob Holding (knee) and Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin) are still sidelined – although Sokratis Papastathopoulos is back after a ban.
Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring) is being assessed while Emery will not want to rely on fit-again Laurent Koscielny three times in a week – Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Emile Smith Rowe (hip) also miss out.
Jan Vertonghen and Eric Dier will miss out for Tottenham.
Both players are out of action until January with respective thigh and appendix issues.
Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth (both hamstring) are fit, but Mousa Dembele (ankle), Serge Aurier (groin) and Victor Wanyama (knee) miss out.
