Things to do in London: Get a FREE PINT at Goose Island Brewpub with this top trick

Goose Island Beer Co has launched a new pub in east London, and to celebrate the company’s first ever European Brewpub the bosses have hidden 10 bespoke Goose heads around London.

Eagle-eyed beer lovers who spot a goose head could be in for a very merry Christmas as those lucky enough to spot the lesser-known goose and head to the newly-opened establishment are in for a free pint.

All you have to do is snap a photo, tag @GooseShoreditch on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, and show it to a member of staff at the Brewpub. Then enjoy a tasty brew, compliments of Goose Island.

But there’s a catch – the goose heads will disappear on Friday, 30 November – so get in fast.

Inspired by its much beloved sister Brewpub in Chicago, the Shoreditch Brewpub will be a welcome addition to the east London high street, as it brings home to the UK previously unavailable Goose Island brews like Old Man Grumpy (5.8% ABV), Fog Bowl (7.2%) and Next Coast (7.2% ABV), alongside its super-rare, highly-sought after Bourbon County Stout, award-winning range and local collaboration beers.

Andrew Walton, Brewmaster, Goose Island Beer Co said: “I cannot wait for the doors of the Shoreditch Brewpub to open and am so stoked for Goose Island fans and fans-to-be to see what we have in store.

“I’ve been working on some crazy delicious microbrews that’ll be available exclusively at our Shoreditch Brewpub.

“I know London has always held a special place in Goose Island’s history, and I can’t wait for us to make our mark on British beer culture, creating a new experience in the heart of east London, where foodies, beer drinkers and music lovers alike can join together in appreciation of a good time – and great beer.”

This week the Goose Island Brewpub welcomed its rare 2018 Bourbon County Brand Stout (15.2% ABV) to the bar.

Famed for selling-out within minutes, and commanding round-the-block queues, beer lovers can enjoy a taste of the rarity that is so tasty that one sip has more flavour than your average case of beer.

2018 Bourbon County Stout is now at the brand new Brewpub on tap, while stock lasts.
