Huawei P20 Pro arrived back in March and delivered a number of noteworthy features for fans.
The smartphone came with a gorgeous 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2240 and a density of 408 pixels-per-inch.
And it delivered a huge 4,000mAh battery that allowed for all-day life.
But P20 Pro’s triple-camera system was by far its headline feature and was one of the reasons it took the smartphone market by storm.
P20 Pro came with a 40-megapixel main, 20-megapixel monochrome and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens that combined to take diverse and stunning images.

And it appears the flagship has helped Huawei achieve laudable smartphone shipping tallies in the third quarter of 2018 that took place between July and September.
Strategy Analytics, a market research firm, insisted Huawei has “soared” in the last year with a 32 percent increase in phone shipments worldwide.
It was emphasised in the third quarter of 2017 the Chinese tech giant shipped 39.1million smartphones, but in the same quarter of this year it had shipped a “healthy” 51.8million.
Meanwhile, it was reported Samsung had seen a decline of 13 percent annually in the same quarter.
Samsung shipped 83.4million smartphones in the third quarter of 2017 but only 72.3million in the same period a year later.
Strategy Analytics insisted increased Chinese competition from the likes of Huawei and Xiaomi was to blame for the dip.
Its report discussing global smartphone shipments noted: “Samsung is losing ground to Huawei, Xiaomi and other Chinese rivals in the huge China and India markets.
“Samsung must solve its China and India problems before it is too late.
“Huawei remains the world’s second largest smartphone vendor with 14 percent share.
“Huawei has little presence in the valuable North America market, but its Android models are wildly popular in most of the rest of the world, particularly Asia and Europe.”
Part of the reason for Huawei’s spike in shipments is surely due to the popularity of devices such as the P20 Pro that have been critically acclaimed by media, influencers and users themselves.
Meanwhile, it has been noted that both the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have seen “lower than expected” sales since the pair debuted back in March.
Back in July, a report from Digitimes insisted Samsung was “forced to accelerate” the release of the Galaxy Note 9 to “rekindle its smartphone momentum as sales of its latest flagship models Galaxy S9 and S9+ have been lower than expected”.
Disappointing sales for the flagship duo could be down to the iterative nature of both models.
Galaxy S9 and S9+ retained a familiar aesthetic to the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
Despite the growth from Huawei, Samsung still remains the world’s biggest smartphone vendor overall.
The South Korean firm shipped over 20million more smartphones that Huawei in the third quarter of 2018.
Apple is currently the world’s third biggest vendor and is followed by Xiaomi and OPPO in fourth and fifth place respectively.
