BT Sport host Jake Humphrey posted an update on Twitter this morning where he delivered positive news on the football legend.
He tweeted: “The latest news on Glenn is that he is responding well. Any more news & will let you know. Thanks for the care & kind words the last 24 hours.
“Right, off for a day with the family. Lots of hugs already…lots still to come! “
The ex-Tottenham and England star, who turned 61 yesterday, was taken ill before appearing on the channel’s live results show and was rushed to hospital.
Presenter Humphrey, 40, yesterday broke the news on Twitter. He offered his support and explained the BT Sport Score show had been cancelled.

Jake wrote: “Our friend & colleague Glenn Hoddle was taken seriously ill.
“Everyone of us is right with you Glenn, sending love & strength.”
Jake then gave an update on the former Three Lions manager’s condition during BT’s coverage of Leicester versus West Ham.
He said: “The good news is that he is now at hospital getting the very best treatment possible.
“Whatever Glenn Hoddle is to you, whether it’s one of the greatest footballers this country has ever produced, a wonderful colleague, a much-loved family member, the outpouring of love and support today has been quite something to behold.”
He added: “Whether it’s sitting here in the studio, regaling us with tales of his amazing career, or wearing a big old winter coat standing up on the gantry commentating on the matches, Glenn is a man whose love, passion and knowledge for the game shines through. “Glenn, we love you, and we’re with you every single step of the way.”
Last night a spokesman for Hoddle said he had received medical attention on the BT set and was transferred by paramedics to hospital in London.
The statement read: “The condition is serious but Glenn is currently receiving specialist treatment and responding well.
“Glenn’s family are with him and would like to thank everyone that has sent their support. They have also asked for their privacy to be respected.” Fellow BT Sport presenter and England team-mate Gary Lineker, 57, offered sympathy and encouragement.
Lineker tweeted: “Hugely worrying news that Glenn Hoddle collapsed at the BT studios earlier. Thoughts are with him and his family. Come on Glenn.”
Glenn won 53 caps for England before taking the manager’s job in 1996 and leading the Three Lions to the France 98 World Cup.
Only Sir Alf Ramsey, Fabio Capello and Sam Allardyce have a better win percentage as England boss than Hoddle who was fired in 1999.
As a player, Hoddle won the FA Cup and UEFA Cup with Spurs where he scored 88 league goals before signing for French side Monaco.
