YouTube DOWN: Is Youtube not working today? Error 503 server issue – when will it be fixed

Google owned platform YouTube went down all over the world this morning, with many people receiving a 503 server error.

Both the website and app were down, with app users receiving the message: “There was a problem with the network [503].”

People have taken to social media to voice their dismay, Twitter in particular.

Twitter user @Sound_deduction said: “Goodbye youtube, you had a good run. #YouTubeDOWN #youtube”

YouTube confirmed the service was down at 6.41pm last night.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

YouTube’s official support account @TeamYouTube said: “Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues.

“We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed.

is YouTube still down?

YouTube servers are now up and running again according to the video giant.

Team YouTube said the service was back up by 3.45am today.

They tweeted: “We’re back! Thanks for all of your patience. If you continue to experience issues, please let us know.”

However, according to website DownDetector, there are still problems at YouTube.

A live map on the site is currently showing widespread outage throughout Europe.

Parts of the UK, Spain, Belgium and Poland are all noticably experiencing outages, as is Moscow.

Asia is also badly affected, as Japan is having trouble accessing the site in particular as well as parts of India such as Mumbai.

Outages on Google-owned services are rare, as the multi-billion dollar company takes great technical care.

The last time major services noticably went down was earlier this year, during the World Cup.

Google’s YouTube TV streaming service went down during the crucial England v Croatia match, leaving many without access to the stream.

The paid service is relatively new, having been formed in 2017, and streams across a number of networks, including CNN, Fox and ABC.
