BREAKING: Tornado DESTROYS buildings and wipes out power across Fairfax, Oklahoma

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Highway 18 is closed in the town of Fairfax until further notice.

Downton Fairfax is currently dealing with debris across a two-block area.

Pictures emerged on social media showing widespread damage, including debris strewn across roads and torn apart buildings.

Over 19 power lines are also reported to have been knocked down in Garland, a neighbouring town in Oklahoma.

There are no reports of injuries at this stage.
