Valkyrae’s Minecraft Movie Scene Reportedly Removed Following Jason Momoa Concerns

Popular streamer Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has confirmed that her appearance has been excised from the recently released “A Minecraft Movie.” This development occurs approximately half a year after she publicly addressed concerns regarding the alleged conduct of the film’s star, Jason Momoa, on set.

Content Creator Addresses Cut Scene on Livestream

“I would much rather not have that 30 seconds than face potential legal action, so it’s perfectly fine,” Hofstetter stated during a recent broadcast on Twitch. “The 10 days spent in New Zealand for that brief moment were still wonderful, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to visit. I believe the situation could have been significantly worse.”

She clarified that the decision to remove her scene was not attributable to Minecraft itself. “The extent to which you would have seen other creators in the film would have been equal to my presence, which was roughly 30 seconds,” she explained.

Past Allegations Against Jason Momoa Resurface

Last September, Hofstetter openly criticized Momoa for allegedly fostering a negative atmosphere and displaying inappropriate behavior during the movie’s production.

Podcast Appearance Details “Uncomfortable” On-Set Experience

During a guest appearance on YouTuber JasonTheWeen’s podcast, Hofstetter was prompted to recount her “worst celebrity or streamer encounter.”

“I will disclose the name,” Hofstetter responded before identifying Momoa.

The internet personality paused to gather her thoughts before elaborating on the incident.

“I witnessed him mistreating members of the crew, which I found quite disheartening,” she asserted. “It occurred after a very intense and emotionally charged scene, so perhaps he was still immersed in character, I’m unsure. However, I was taken aback by his treatment of some of the crew members.”

Description of Alleged On-Set Antics

Hofstetter provided further details when the host asked her to elaborate on her interaction with the “Aquaman” actor.

“He appeared genuinely angry that they weren’t executing something correctly,” Hofstetter recounted. “It involved setting up the shot and similar tasks. He was visibly upset, displaying considerable anger and raising his voice.”

“I thought to myself, ‘This is not a conducive environment, I would not be pleased working under these conditions,’” the content creator added.

Minecraft Film’s Box Office Performance

“A Minecraft Movie,” inspired by the immensely popular video game, premiered on April 4th and features a cast including Jack Black and Jennifer Coolidge, alongside Momoa.

Momoa portrays Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison in the film adaptation, which has reportedly grossed $157 million in its opening weekend across the US and Canada, according to reports.

Previous Reports of Momoa’s Conduct

The actor has faced prior scrutiny regarding his on-set demeanor, notably in relation to the 2023 film “Aquaman 2,” as detailed in an exposé published by a media outlet.

That report alleged instances of intoxication and attempts by Momoa to have Amber Heard, ex-wife of Johnny Depp, removed from the production.

Furthermore, it was alleged that Momoa attempted to provoke his co-star by emulating the dress style of her former husband, who had previously won a high-profile defamation lawsuit against Heard following her accusations of abuse against Depp.
