The Gabon international did not travel with the rest of the Gunners squad for their Europa League clash against Qarabag, instead remaining in London as he targets a return against the Cottagers.
However, Aubameyang may not be risked by Arsenal manager Unai Emery with Alexandre Lacazette, Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi all available in attacking roles.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also an option should Aubameyang remain sidelined, with the winger missing the 3-0 victory in Baku due to a diplomatic bust-up between his native Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The midweek rest ensures that Mkhitaryan is most likely to return on the left-wing if Aubameyang is not fit, with Lacazette expected to continue in a lone striker role.
