Mission: Impossible – Fallout already has the best critical reception of the franchise with 98% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and now has the biggest box office opening.
Back in 2000, Mission: Impossible 2 made $57.8 million in its US opening and now Fallout has surpassed the previous record holder with $61.5 million.
On top of this the new film’s global opening was a whopping $153.5 million.
It’s been just three years since Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation hit cinemas, which was the shortest time in between films in the franchise to date.
