Problems have been ongoing with the PlayStation Network for several hours.
And looking at the latest outage maps, it appears to be a big one.
PSN users from around the world are confirming problems using the game servers, while also revealing PS4 error messages popping up on screen.
The PSN servers appear to be down in the UK too, although there are signs things are picking up.
Sony themselves have confirmed that most significant areas of the PSN service are currently down.

One of the biggest affected areas is gaming and social, with the tech giant confirming: “You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features.
“Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
Right now there is no information on when the service might be back online, or what might be causing problems tonight.
There is scheduled maintenance set to be performed, so it might have something to do with that.
However, while this would explain outages in certain areas, it wouldn’t explain the reason behind the problem on European servers.
“Routine maintenance and improvements for PlayStation™Network will be performed for approximately 0.5 hours on 07/28/2018, 11:00 PM to 07/28/2018, 11:30 PM (Your Local Timezone),” a message from Sony confirms.
“Anyone who already has an account can still sign in to their PlayStation™Network profile, play games, and use most applications while this maintenance is carried out.
“You will not be able to access PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, PlayStation Music, Gaming And Social, PlayStation Now, and PlayStation Vue during this maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. We recommend activating your PS4 as your primary console before maintenance begins so you can continue to play most games and use 3rd party services during maintenance.
“To activate your console, sign in to your PlayStation™Network profile and select [Settings] > [Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4] > [Activate]. You only need to do this once. We strive to ensure that PlayStation™Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation™Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements.
“We are working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance.”
