Soulcalibur 6 fans have been treated to some good news this week, as a fan favourite makes a return.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that series regular Voldo will make an appearance in Soulcalibur 6.

The news was confirmed alongside a new gameplay trailer, which demonstrates some of Voldo’s new moves and abilities.

“Voldo, the Hell Guardian, returns to the stage of history in Soulcalibur VI!” reads the video description.

“Wielding Manas & Ayus, this unique fighter from Naples will take you by surprise with his thrusts and slashes.”

Voldo first appeared in Soul Edge, and has featured in every main Soulcalibur game since.

Adventure Time: Pirates of Enchiridion is out now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Based on the popular Cartoon Network series, the game sees Finn, Jake, BMO and Marceline set sail to explore the flooded Land of Ooo.

“During their adventures, Finn and Jake will recruit friends to join their crew, jump into swashbuckling fights, interrogate characters for clues and traverse the new and dangerous sea to locations across Ooo,” reads a Bandai Namco post.

The game features an original story, open-world exploration, a tactical combat system and voice support from the cast of the TV show.

Reviews have so far been mixed for the game, which holds a Metascore of 66 on PS4 at the time of writing.

God is a Geek – 6/10: “Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is faithful to the show and the world is lovely to look at, but the game never challenges, and the repetition towards the end becomes quite a chore. The soundtrack is lovely, though, and as well as new music, you’ll recognise familiar sounds from the show.

“It’s not a massive game, taking anything from 10-12 hours to finish depending on how much of the side stuff you do, but I didn’t dabble in anything from the main story because I never felt the need to. That’s not to say some won’t enjoy it, especially fans of the show and gamers of a younger generation.”

Trusted Reviews – 3/5: “For die-hard fans, the basic adventuring punctuated with oddball antics and voicework is lovely to see. Recreations of the different kingdoms is a sight to behold, although the gameplay falls into an odd place.

“The demographic feels lost. The exploration is ideal for kids who just want to stomp about as their favourite characters, but they could find the fighting too hard. RPG fans will find a lack of depth throughout, and unless they love Adventure Time, will quickly abandon it for something else.”
