Call of Duty WW2 Resistance DLC countdown: PS4 release date, time, maps, Zombies, War Mode

WW2 fans are counting down to the release of ‘The Resistance’ DLC pack on PS4.

Call of Duty WW2 DLC 1 ‘The Resistance’ has a January 30 release date on PS4. There’s no official release time, but previous Call of Duty DLC packs have gone live at around 5am UK time.

It’s bad news for Xbox One and PC owners, however, who will have to wait another month for the DLC to launch.

The upcoming DLC includes three Resistance themed maps, a brand new War Mode map and another Zombies adventure.

Valkyrie takes place in and around the bunker where resistance fighters unsuccessfully tried to assassinate Hitler.

Anthropoid, meanwhile, is set in Occupied Prague, and is said to feature a lot of height variation and narrow interiors. Occupation is a remake of a Modern Warfare 3 map.

Perhaps most exciting of all, Activision gave fans a look at the new War Mode adventure, titled Operation Intercept.

The first objective will revolve around the rescue of resistance fighters. Players must then capture radio equipment, before leading an attack on the Nazis.

As for Nazi Zombies, the new chapter, titled The Darkest Shore, is described as the most terrifying yet. The new map adds fog to the mix, which should result in a host of scary scenarios.

“The Darkest Shore follows our heroes into the next chapter of their dangerous journey,” reads a Sledgehammer post.

“Only days after the horrific disaster of Mittelburg, the crew has received intel that suggests Doktor Straub is on an island just north of Germany.

“Blanketed in fog, this island is surrounded by Nazi air and sea power – and crawling with the Undead. Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson will need to battle all this and more to uncover the mysteries hidden within the Darkest Shore.”

Fans can get a taste for The Resistance DLC by checking out a new that ends on February 27.

The latest update adds a new Division, new game modes, new items and playlists. Even better is that The Resistance is completely free to all players.

“The Resistance is the latest community event to come to Call of Duty: WW2!” reads an Activision blog post.

“This five-week event highlights the resistance fighters in World War II.

“Beginning on January 23 and lasting until February 27, The Resistance community event has something for everyone, as it will bring with it a brand-new Division, new game modes, new gear, free supply drops and more!”
