CNET Show Us Yours: Submit photos of your home theater now! – CNET

Want to show off your awesome entertainment system to thousands of CNET readers? Here’s your chance.

Here at CNET we’re featuring photos of our readers’ home theaters as part a series we call Show Us Yours. As you can see from some of our examples, we don’t care if your setup is super high-end or bootstrapped on a modest budget. It’s all about your personal vision and what special bit of creativity you brought to the project. (Click here to see all of our Show Us Yours showcases).

Ready? All you have to do is email us some images of your setup.

You can attach photos directly to the email or, if you’ve got a Dropbox, Gdrive or other link, with photos, send us that instead.

Here’s everything you’ll eventually need to complete your submission:

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

  • The photos. At least 20 images of your home theater, plus a headshot of yourself. Images need to be in horizontal (landscape) format, and each photo should be less than 6MB. Send as many images as you want (the more, the better), with plenty of close-ups of your gear and wide-angle shots of your room. If you’re sending a lot of images, you can send multiple emails.
  • Captions. For each photo you submit, write a few sentences about it. Why do you like that piece of gear? Why did you set up the room like this? What do you like most about your setup? Let us know why your home theater is special.
  • A list of your gear with the model numbers and manufacturer names.
  • Permission for us to publish your photos. In order for us to publish your showcase, you’ll need to agree to the full CBS Interactive Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We’ll get you to sign off in a separate email, but we can’t publish the photos without you signing off.

That’s it. So get to it. Email us some photos. If you only want to send a few, we can always ask you to submit more if we like what we see. Again, we’re not picky. We like to see all kinds of setups, not just the fancy ones — though those are good, too.
