BREAKING: Man dies following ‘knife attack’ in Swedish restaurant

Police were alerted to the incident at around 1.15pm local time where they found the 25-year-old victim with serious injuries.

Despite best efforts to save him, the victim was pronounced dead later this afternoon. His family have been informed.

A 45-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the attack.

He was arrested at his home in Nässjö and police have reportedly seized the weapon believed to have been used in the attack.

A cordon has been set up around the restaurant while police continue with their investigation.

The news comes just hours after another man was killed in a restaurant attack in Sweden.

Police were called to the scene at 18.30 on Monday when witnesses heard shots near the subway station. 

A man with gunshot wounds was subsequently taken to hospital but died from his injuries later in the night.
