Golden Globes 2018: Why nominees are wearing black in protest on the red carpet

The Golden Globes 2018 will take place in Los Angeles on January 7, 2018.

The awards, which present accolades to film and television shows and stars, is the 75th incarnation of the ceremony and will be hosted by Seth Meyers.

The night is usually full of glamour with stars opting to wear stunning gowns and dapper suits. However, fashion fans might notice something a little different at this year’s ceremony.

A number of stars have pledged to wear black as a form of protest against sexual harassment.

In December People reported that a number of high profile women are planning to wear only black at the awards to protest sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry.
