Sony is expected to make the PS Plus announcement on Wednesday, December 27 at around 4.30pm.

The PS Plus January 2018 games lineup will be available to download a week later on January 2.

PS4 owners can also grab big savings on hundreds of games and DLC as part of Sony’s PlayStation Christmas sale.

Sony has slashed the price of more than 500 games and add-ons across the PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita.

This includes high profile new releases like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Assassin’s Creed Origins and FIFA 18.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is down to just £29.99, which represents a 50% saving. FIFA 18 is available at the same price, while Assassin’s Creed Origins costs £36.99.

PS4 owners can also make big savings on the likes of Persona 5, Call of Duty WW2 and GTA 5.

The sale ends on January 19, although some offers will expire earlier.
