Xbox One Backwards Compatibility UPDATE: Two new Xbox 360 games go LIVE

Two new games have been added to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list today.

Xbox 360 fans of Peggle 2 and Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death can now download and play the game on their Xbox One, or Xbox One X.

Peggle 2 is the most requested of the two, earning over 1,000 votes on the official Backwards Compatible leaderboards.

It’s also been confirmed by Microsoft’s Larry Hryb that both games can be installed via disc, as long as they can be found.

The new launches come days before the arrival of the new Games with Gold December 2017 lineup.

“Save your girl and save the planet with a little help from a 2000-year-old Mayan Death Mask.”

It’s been awhile since new Xbox One Backwards Compatibility games have been added to the official list.

Four games were added on November 16th, the headline release being Persona 4 Arena. The 2D brawler is a spinoff of the highly-rated role-playing series.

It was joined by Xbox 360 versions of Cars: Mater-National Championship, Jewel Quest and Tecmo Bowl Throwback.

It should be noted that all the new Backwards Compatibility releases will be available from the Xbox Store.

November has been a slow month for the Backwards Compatible program, with only seven new games added so far.

October by comparison had 23 games added, although a lot of these were made up of the Classic Xbox titles.
