As the new Marvel film opens in the UK today, one of the leads has revealed their superhero is bisexual.
It’s not Thor or the Hulk, but Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, a hard-drinking Asgardian warrior who captures Hemsworth’s lead.
It turns out the character is bisexual in the comics and now the actress herself has confirmed Valkyrie is in the film too.
Tessa tweeted: “YES! Val is Bi in the comics and I was faithful to that in her depiction. But her sexuality isn’t explicitly addressed in Thor: Ragnarok.”
The call comes after Woman Woman’s comic book writer confirmed her character is bisexual because the superhero must have had relationships on Themyscira, a female-only island nation.
