The pair’s romantic journey began in 2019, with Meyer publicly acknowledging their relationship via Instagram in October of the same year.
Their engagement was confirmed in November 2021 when Stewart shared the joyful news on The Howard Stern Show, revealing that Meyer had proposed.
“We’re getting married, we are absolutely going to do it,” Stewart stated. “I expressed my desire to be proposed to, and she perfectly executed it. We are getting married, it is indeed happening.”

Stewart further elaborated on the proposal, highlighting the non-traditional dynamic of their relationship. “It’s not a given that I would be the one to be proposed to, you know? With two women, there’s no set expectation regarding gender roles, and we don’t operate within those constraints,” the actress explained.
“So, initially, I jokingly suggested I wanted to be proposed to. And then Dylan simply took that sentiment and made it a reality. It was incredibly sweet,” she added, recounting the endearing moment.

Stewart and Meyer’s paths initially crossed on a film set in 2013. However, it wasn’t until a mutual friend’s birthday celebration years later, as Stewart disclosed during a November 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, that they reconnected and their romance blossomed.
“I had met her previously on a movie, but hadn’t seen her in about two years. She simply appeared at a friend’s birthday gathering, and I was immediately struck, wondering where she had been and how I hadn’t known her all along,” Stewart reminisced.
