Even MORE OnePlus 5T leaks have appeared online, as rumoured release date approaches

Last year, OnePlus updated its flagship smartphone with an incremental upgrade six months after it first launched.

sported a new processor, new aluminium finish and an improved housing on the rear-facing camera.

Rumours of a similar incremental upgrade to the Chinese company’s current flagship handset, OnePlus 5, have started to circulate online.

These whispers have been fuelled by the news that OnePlus has sold-out of a number of OnePlus 5 models, suggesting it is winding down production of the handset.

A swathe of have also appeared across social media.

The leaks purport to show a new design for the OnePlus – with an edge-to-edge display similar to other flagship phones launched this year.

According to the leaked images, OnePlus will shave the bezels around the display to compete with the likes of the LG V30, Galaxy S8, Pixel 2 XL and iPhone X.

OnePlus also looks set to use a new 18:9 ratio display, the leaked render appears to show.

The leaked render – shared by Android Authority – appears to confirm OnePlus will drop the fingerprint scanner from the front of the phone.

The company will likely need to relocate the fingerprint scanner to the back of the phone to accommodate the new display.

OnePlus 5T is widely-tipped to feature a six-inch display with a 2,160 x 1,080 resolution display.

That’s a pretty significant upgrade from the OnePlus 5’s 5.5-inch 1080p display.

It’s difficult to tell from the leaks, but it appears OnePlus will not follow Samsung’s lead and opt for a dual-curved display.

The latest OnePlus leaked image tallies with a number of previous rumours about the next OnePlus device, including the new all-screen design.

Like all rumours, it’s worth taking these leaks with a healthy pinch of salt.

After all, it’s possible OnePlus will wait until next year to launch its next flagship smartphone.
