Pokemon Go trainers are getting ready for the Halloween event 2017, with a release date just a few weeks away.
Last year’s Pokemon Go Halloween event was the first seasonal event ever to hit the hugely popular Niantic game for iOS and Android.
And fans are gearing up for the start of this year’s Halloween festivities after the Pokemon Go Company teased the start of the 2017 event this week.
In a blog post, they said: “The Halloween season is a special time in Pokémon GO.
“Plenty of good stuff is coming to the game later this October, and we can’t wait to get out and about to see what sort of excitement we can scare up while catching new Pokémon to fill out our Pokédex.”

WHAT IS THE POKEMON GO HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 RELEASE DATE?
So far, a release date for the Pokemon Go Halloween event 2017 has not been released.
However, looking at last year’s launch may give us an indication of when the season event will go live this year.
In 2016, the Pokemon Go Halloween event launched on October 26 and ran through until November 1.
If history repeats itself, you can expect a similar launch and end date this year.
WHAT REWARDS COULD YOU GET IN THE POKEMON GO HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017?
Last year Pokemon Go trainers taking part in the Halloween event 2017 were able to earn even more precious candy.
They also got double the rewards for catching new Pokemon and then transferring them to the professor.
COULD THERE BE RAIDS FOR THE POKEMON GO HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017?
It’s looking very unlikely that there will be any specific raids for the Pokemon Go Halloween event this year.
The first Legendary Ghost Pokemon, the Ghost / Dragon creature Giratina, appeared in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
So Giratina will drop with other Generation 4 Pokemon, and we’re currently only on Gen 2.
So, it looks like Halloween-themed Raids in Pokemon Go will have to wait till next year.
COULD GEN 3 MAKE AN APPEARANCE DURING THE POKEMON GO HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017?
