James Bond: You won’t BELIEVE which 007 had the most expensive watch collection

The British secret agent has been on our cinema screens for 55 years and apart from the cars and gadgets, it’s his stylish watches that stand out.

Across 24 official 007 movies, James Bond wore 21 watches from Rolex, Breitling and Seiko to Omega today.

Now Milton Diamonds have valued James Bond’s entire watch collection from Dr No to Spectre at an incredible £95,094 – thanks to Ebay and Chrono24.

However, which of the six Bonds had the most expensive collection? You really won’t believe the answer.

Unbelievably the winner is George Lazenby, despite being the shortest-serving Bond with just one movie.

In 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service – which the latest Bond film is rumoured to be a remake of – the Aussie actor’s timepieces have been found to be worth £33,400.

Lazenby wore a Rolex Chronograph 6238, now worth £25,000 and a Rolex Submariner 5513 – which costs £8,400 today.

In second place was Connery with £20,076, followed by Craig’s four Omegas at £15,240.

Meanwhile Moore, the longest-serving Bond with seven movies surprisingly came fourth with £11,717.

Close behind Moore was Dalton at £11,171 while Brosnan was last with just £3,490 for his two Omegas.

Ben Johnson, Web Manager at Milton’s Diamonds, said: “Bond has always been known for his watches. Alongside the Aston Martin and the vodka martini, Bond’s watch is one of the things which defines him in the public eyes.

“There’s that moment in Casino Royale where Eva Green and Daniel Craig are discussing which watch Bond’s wearing – Rolex or Omega? – and that got us at Miltons thinking about Bond’s watch collection.

“His tastes change with the times – the classy 60s Submariners, the Seiko digital era in the 70s, through to Omega in the present day – Bond’s collection serves as a time capsule for which watches were fashionable at the time, and as these valuations prove, some which are still fashionable today.”
