Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool: Poster EXCLUSIVE for Gloria Grahame drama

The movie, which has amassed critical acclaim ahead of its wide release later this year, stars Annette Bening, Jamie Bell and Julie Walters, and is based on the true story of Gloria Grahame and Peter Turner’s romance.

Bening and Bell take centre stage in the new poster, heralding the drama’s release on November 17.

Vanessa Redgrave, Frances Barber. Kenneth Cranham and Stephen Graham also star, with direction from Paul McGuigan.

Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival last month, after being filmed in Liverpool and London in 2016.

Turner told HeyUGuys last month: “It’s strange [to see] but it’s fun as well, when it’s this good.

“It’s a wonderful film, I think, and not a lot of writers of books are going to say that about a book going to the screen.

“I just think Paul has made an incredible film – and the performances, Annete Bening and Jamie Bell… together it’s a sizzling on-screen romance.

“I see it as my story being told, it’s a very faithful adaptation and I’m very lucky that the screenwriter has done a wonderful job and he was very brave and he kept a lot of dialogues from the book, scenes from the book.”

He added: “So it’s the same story and it’s kind of told in a different medium. We met only once, we talked a lot on the phone… everything fell into place.”

Grahame died at age 57 in 1981, after a second battle with cancer.

Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool is out on November 17.
