Battlegrounds continues to go from strength-to-strength on PC, with even more impressive stats being confirmed by developers Bluehole inc.
For the first time in the game’s history, one million Steam users were recorded playing PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds this week.
According to the stats page today, there has been a peak of 1,111,155 for Sunday, with concurrent users not far behind in the past couple of days.
These stats are currently beating Dota 2, which has so far reached a 774,100 peak today.
There has also been some great release date news for PUGB players who are hoping to pick up Battlegrounds on Xbox One.

PUBG developer Bluehole Inc have now confirmed that they have no plans to increase the price on PC or Xbox One.
Battlegrounds creator Brendan Green told GamesIndustry.biz that there are no plans to go down the same path as ARK Survival Evolved and increase its price.
“We don’t have a plan to increase at the moment,” he said. “That could change, but from my understanding, and from what we’ve talked about internally, we want to keep the same price.”
Green said that $30 is a good price, especially for a game with such long-term appeal.
“We’re happy. $30 is a good price for what you’re getting, and this is a game that could last for five or ten years. You’re buying into something bigger than just a year-long game.”
Despite its popularity, Green still thinks it can reach more people, and perhaps even compete with the likes of League of Legends.
“Our sales curves are just going up,” he continued. “They’re not slowing down. I’m still waiting for that plateau, and it’s just not happening yet.
“When you ask about growth on PC, I just look at League of Legends. 100 million active users a month, I think, something stupid like that?
“If we play our cards right, maybe we can get to that level of users.”
While this is great news for PUBG console players, there are also some sound financial reasons behind this.
Battlegrounds, unlike ARK Survival, offers paid cosmetics, meaning that you want to have as big an audience as possible.
And there doesn’t appear to be any plans for ARK Survival Evolved to incorporate microtransactions in the future.
Here’s the latest on the subject from Studio Wildcard: “There will never, ever be any monetization of this game whatsoever other than possible entirely new Expansion ARK’s (whole new worlds as expansion pack).
“There will never be any pay items, not even cosmetics — there WILL be tons of cosmetic “item skins” but they will all be earnable in-game rewards and time-limited free events to encourage gameplay, nothing ever to spend any $$$ on.
“The term Loot Crate simply was employed to denote high-value item cache.
“To be clear, we at Studio Wildcard are very much against any in-game monetization whatsoever. We’ve seen it distort too many otherwise good games.”
To be clear, Battlegrounds on PC and Xbox One will not be charging players for new maps, weapons, or other core content.
Microtransactions will be limited to buying boxes that contain cosmetic items, with the hopes of something rare popping up.
