US Open 2017: Rafael Nadal brushes past Juan Martin Del Potro to set up Anderson clash

Nadal, a two-time US Open champion, was in stunning form going into his last four tie against the Argentine.

And the Spaniard produced an excellent fightback to come through in four sets – 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2.

Billed as a blockbuster clash between two of the game’s stars with the biggest forehands, the match didn’t disappoint.

Del Potro settled quicker and he took the first 6-4.

But Nadal in his typical fashion, displayed the usual warrior-like mindset we are accustomed to.
