Manchester City were heavily linked with a move for Sanchez and had a £50million bid rejected by Arsenal.
The Chile international will be out of contract at the end of the season and will be able to enter pre-contract talks with potential suitors in January.
Sanchez was reportedly keen to leave the Emirates and some pundits suggested his head clearly wasn’t right during Arsenal’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool before the international break.
It was his first match of the season after being given an extended break due to his international commitments and illness.
But he was unable to make an impact against Jurgen Klopp’s side and was hauled off in the second half.

However, The Sun claim Sanchez has been an unpopular figure in Arsenal’s dressing room ever since rumours surrouding his future surfaced.
Sanchez reportedly told his Arsenal team-mates he wanted to leave and has caused a hostile atmosphere at the Emirates.
The players are said to be wary that Sanchez’s return from the international break could potentially break morale at the club as he has alienated himself from everyone at the club.
City are reportedly readying another attempt to sign the attacker in January but are only willing to offer £20million.
Sanchez wants to push through a move, partly to take part in Champions League football again.
