The new release is shrouded in mystery but the star had been rumoured to be working on a new single, with up to three albums of music also stored for future release.
George Michael died last year on Christmas Day but a message from his sisters Melanie and Yioda on his official website has promised they will share with fans all the “projects” that the singer had been preparing.
They wrote: “Our aim is to carry on, as we know Yog would have wanted, to share and enjoy his precious legacy and to continue to bring you joy – through his extraordinarily beautiful music. David (Austin), along with Yog’s loyal creative team, will continue bringing you all the projects they had been working so hard on for you, exactly as Yog would have wanted…”
It is unknown whether this will be the music referred to by Nile Rogers or other material, including a rumoured collaboration with Naughty Boy.
The singer and producer also revealed that he had been working on a new track with George Michael before his untimely death.
