JBL has unveiled a sleek pair of wireless earbuds, dubbed JBL Free, during its media event at the IFA consumer technology tradeshow in Berlin.
The cord-free earbuds can be used independently for calls over Bluetooth, or as a pair when listening to music.
JBL is even bundling a pair of silicone sleeves to connect to the buds when you’re at the gym.
That should allay any fears of earbuds going flying when you’re on the treadmill.
JBL Free are sweat and water resistant, so you don’t need to worry about the earbuds during a vigorous workout – or out-and-about in heavy rainfall.

The Free earbuds provides 24 hours of combined use – delivering continuous music for up to 4 hours with 20 hours of backup power from the included charging case.
The lightweight case comes equipped with a built-in battery, enabling listeners to recharge an entire hour of music playback in 15-minutes.
The earbuds are Bluetooth 4.1-enabled so users can connect smart devices and enjoy a completely hands-free experience.
Additionally, JBL Free has a built-in microphone for crystal clear calls at the touch of a button.
Unlike the Apple AirPods, JBL ships three different ear tips for the earbuds to customise the fit of the earbuds.
JBL says users can interchange ear tips and sleeves for a total of nine different size combinations.
The cord-free buds have another major advantage over their Apple counterparts – the price.
JBL Free will be available in the UK in Black and White from October 2017 from £119.99.
Jessica Garvey, Vice President for Headphones & Wearables at Harman, said: “JBL Free sets the bar for truly wireless listening with its superior sound, versatility and sleek looks.
“Completely free from wires and easy to use, the JBL Free is the ideal companion for calls, music and an active lifestyle.”
JBL also announced a new Google Assistant-equipped Bluetooth speaker, as well as premium home audio device powered by Amazon’s Alexa assistant.
