It appears a move for Van Dijk is off despite former Red David Thompson claiming a move was going through earlier.
Liverpool have chased Van Dijk all summer but Saints legend Le Tissier is having the last laugh.

It appeared the fishing expedition worked as Liverpool supporters reacted with fury towards the Sky Sports pundit.
