Brave soldiers revealed how they worked to make sure casualties did not become fatalities as killer Stephen Paddock sprayed bullets over a country music festival.
Describing the scene, one said: “Just everywhere you looked people were diving under tables, flipping tables to hide behind them, cowering in the corner.”
A second solider said: “We literally just got in there saved as many casualties as we could.”
The young troops from the Queen’s Dragoon Guards risked their own lives to save others during the deadliest mass shooting in US history, which killed 58 and injured nearly 500.

A total of 59 people – including Paddock – were killed and around 500 injured in the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
The 64-year-old gunman fired on crowds at the Route 91 Harvest festival on Sunday from the Mandalay Bay casino and hotel overlooking the world famous Strip.
He rained down bullets from a 32nd-floor window for several minutes before killing himself.
About 22,000 people were in the crowd when Paddock opened fire, sparking a panic in which some people trampled on others in their desperate bid to escape as law enforcement officers scrambled to locate the gunman.
Images and footage from the scene showed shocked concertgoers, some with blood on their clothing, wandering the streets afterwards.
