How to tell if someone is lying – THIS body language sign may indicate a man being false

Is your husband or boyfriend cheating? Or do you have reason to believe a male friend or family member are being dishonest?

According to author and body language expert Judi James, certain body language performed by a man can suggest they are lying.

From scratching their nose to looking up at their left hand side – Judi has revealed the top things to look for to indicate when a male is being deceitful.

Speaking to Express.co.uk she said: “Men tend to be generally rather bad liars, and the reason for that is women generally tend to act as though they believe their lives.

“What that means is – without being challenged, they think their techniques are very good. So they’re probably using techniques they used when they were about five years old, so it’s not very sophisticated.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

“Also that gives them confidence that overcomes the guilt.”

Judi said to look out for these four body language signs if you suspect a man of lying:

Expect lots of eye contact

When they lie a lot of guys like to put on a real performance, which means they’ll  front it out – loads of eye contact and leaning forward.

Secondly they’ll  use a technique called projection and what that means is you’ll get the long pause when they’re challenged and then they’ll try and make you feel guilty – they might say back, “were you snooping through my things”?

Over congruent body language

Their body language will often be part of the performance. It will often be over congruent so you’ve got a lot of palm displays going on, a lot of shrugging, often the eyebrows move right up to the hairline and big wide eyes – the sort of things a kid would do because they often feel that’s a really good way to bluff their way through a lie.

Pinocchio’s Nose

When we tell a lie a physiological effect is often that the blood vessels increase in size.

You can’t see that but it actually makes the nose feel really itchy. You probably can’t get them to show they rose is growing, but that’s where the saying came from. So you’ll often get a little scratching from the nose.
