Nevertheless there is still hope for Craig after the director spoke out on the matter.
Time Out asked if he was “in consideration for the next Bond movie.”
Denis replied: “I cannot talk about that. But let’s say that for me to do a Bond movie would be a deep, deep pleasure.”
That certainly wasn’t a no, suggesting he has had some sort of talks with Bond producers.
Denis is also attached to direct a reboot of sci-fi classic Dune, so he certainly has a lot planned for the near future.
Will he have enough time to squeeze in Craig’s last Bond movie? Fans will have to wait and see.
James Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas in early November 2019.
