BREAKING: Machete-wielding man SHOT DEAD after attacking soldiers in Brussels

Images on social media show a police cordon on a pavement and a number of police officers stood nearby.

Gunshots were reportedly heard in the Belgian capital with unconfirmed reports claiming the man tried to attack two soldiers who were on patrol.

Emergency services are believed to have tried to resuscitate the man but he is said to have died at the scene.
