PUBG DOWN: Fans getting connection closed server status messages

PUBG server status doesn’t make good reading for fans right now.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently experiencing server issues, as fans are greeted with connection closed messages.

Reports have started to appear on Down Detector, which tracks online service outages.

Some fans have been greeted with a message telling them that the connection is closed.

The Connection Closed message has led to fans flocking to Twitter to find out what’s going on.

One fan tweeted: “@PUBG_help I keep getting connection closed, are the servers down?”

And another tweeted: “@PUBG_help keep getting connection closed or unknown login error, servers having trouble?”

And one posted: “@PUBG_help I keep getting connection closed, are the servers down?”

The PUBG servers have experienced , which perhaps isn’t very surprising given how popular the game has become.

And just in case you don’t know, Battlegrounds takes place on a remote island where 100 players compete to be the sole survivor.

Similar to games like DayZ, players must gather supplies, armour and weapons in order to defeat other players.

And in a unique twist, the battleground actually gets smaller as games go on.

“Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking play zone as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death,” reads a Bluehole statement.

The news comes as PUBG developer Bluehole said that it has no plans to increase the price of the game on PC or Xbox One.

Battlegrounds creator Brendan Green told GamesIndustry.biz that there are no plans to go down the same path as ARK Survival Evolved and increase its price.

“We don’t have a plan to increase at the moment,” he said. “That could change, but from my understanding, and from what we’ve talked about internally, we want to keep the same price.”

Green said that $30 is a good price, especially for a game with such long-term appeal.

“We’re happy. $30 is a good price for what you’re getting, and this is a game that could last for five or ten years. You’re buying into something bigger than just a year-long game.”
